Read-only/Edit Permissions for Kanban and Pipeline

I want to be able to have permission-driven "read only" or "edit" access for both of these elements.

Using these for event planning, and want only the folks in charge of the teams to be able to edit the status.

I have a workflow that requires tasks to be completed and other items approved before moving the record to the next status. This is possible using action buttons' conditional visibility but is easily overridden with the drag-and-drop ability on the Kanban view, which can cause chaos when airtable runs automations to populate the next set of tasks.
